Nice score. I'm loving this game. Sure it's got issues, and I'm sure that Zipper will fix them in time. It's definitely a good change from the standard FPS fair that I've been playing for a while!
I hope so, and I also hope that they give Guild Wars players a chance before anyone else (at minimum.) I put over 1k hours into Guild Wars and I'd be sad if I couldn't get into the beta over someone who doesn't really care about the franchise.
In anycase, GW2 has been on my most anticipated list for over three years now. Can' wait!

Yeah, gameplay is great, but the story (mainly Samus herself,) fall apart.
Who cares though, no one went into a Metroid game expecting a huge focus on story anyways, this time you're just forced to ignore almost everything story related, but no big deal.

You know what, I love them all. Aside from FFI and FFII, I've enjoyed them all more then most other games. Final Fantasy as a series is still one of my favorites (if not my actual favorite,) and eventhough I did enjoy some over the others, I ultimately enjoyed them all.
There's only a few series that I can say the same about (Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear etc.) so I'm just glad that they're making these games available to even more people.

Bomb Squad is my favorite gametype in SOCOM 4. Of course you have to be playing in Classic Mode to really get the most out of all the gametypes this game has to offer IMO.

Not sure the grenade arc is actually coming back. I've yet to see anything where Zipper states that.
I do remember them saying the camera is getting pushed back though.

I've put over 15 hours into the beta and it's a blast! I'm playing on Classic mode so that makes it much better and it doesn't "cater to the COD audience", like everyone says it does.
I also enjoyed Confrontation (of course I still believe that it was released 6+ months too soon,) but it was good IMO.

Cover is available on Classic Mode. Though for custom games, it can be turned off (I remember seeing the option when looking at details for the game types.)

16v16 is respawn (Standard Suppression,) and there is no camp fest. Its hectic and always interesting to say the least!
Classic Suppression is slower, more tactical. Both are great IMO (since I love CoD and loved SOCOM:Confrontation, I am enjoying the entirety of what's available in the beta.) Meh, Metal Gear went multiplatform even before this generation.
I won't really care, cause I'll be getting it on PS3 regardless. I wish it was Zone of the Enders 3 instead though.
As much as I love Metal Gear, it did pretty much end with MGS4, so instead of MGS5 I'd love to see a remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear II.

Do it! I just did a couple days ago. $60 for nearly endless free games, sign me up! Thing that got me was the SOCOM 4 beta, I wanted to play it during Spring Break and wouldn't have been able to had I waited on my KZ3 voucher. So I figured now was the best time to sign up (I would've done it eventually regardless, this just helped me decide when haha.)
It was a great look into the struggles that our Military men and women face.
I'd love to see some more insights like that, it was exhilarating and yet I was extremely concerned for them at the same time. Great stuff.
